About Ratt:

Ratt is a popular American heavy metal band formed in 1976 by lead vocalist Stephen Pearcy in San Diego, California. The band was originally known as Mickey Ratt and consisted of guitarist Jake E. Lee, bassist Matt Thorr, and drummer John Turner.

In 1982, Ratt signed with Atlantic Records and released their self-titled debut album, which featured the hit single 'Round and Round.' The album went multi-platinum, reaching number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart. Ratt followed up with their second album, 'Out of the Cellar,' in 1984, which also went multi-platinum and featured the hit single 'Lay It Down.'

Throughout the 1980s, Ratt became one of the most popular bands in the glam metal genre, known for their catchy hooks, anthemic choruses, and flashy stage shows. Their hits included 'Wanted Man,' 'You're in Love,' and 'Dance.'

However, despite their success, Ratt went through several lineup changes and internal issues, with Pearcy leaving the band in 1992 to pursue a solo career. The band continued to release albums and tour with new members, but never achieved the same level of commercial success as their earlier years.

In 2016, Ratt reunited with three of their original members - Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini, and bassist Juan Croucier - and began touring again. The band released a new single in 2018, 'The Way, ' and has announced plans to release a new album in the future.

Ratt has sold over 15 million albums worldwide and continues to be a popular live act, known for their high-energy performances and signature sound. They have left a lasting impression on the heavy metal genre and continue to inspire new generations of rock musicians.
