About The Black Crowes:
The Black Crowes were an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984. The band consisted of singer Chris Robinson, guitarist Rich Robinson, bassist Johnny Colt, drummer Steve Gorman, keyboardist Eddie Harsch, and later, guitarist Marc Ford.
The Black Crowes' sound was strongly influenced by classic rock bands such as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and The Faces, and they became known for their gritty, bluesy style. The band's debut album, 'Shake Your Money Maker,' was released in 1990 and included hit singles such as 'Hard to Handle' and 'She Talks to Angels.'
Over the next decade, The Black Crowes released several successful albums, including 'The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion' (1992), 'Amorica' (1994), and 'Three Snakes and One Charm' (1996). The band's live shows also became legendary for their energy and improvisation.
In the late 1990s, conflicts between members of the band led to multiple lineup changes and a hiatus in 2002. The Black Crowes re-formed in 2005 with a new lineup and released several more albums, including 'Warpaint' (2008) and 'Before the Frost...Until the Freeze' (2009).
Throughout their career, The Black Crowes were praised for their commitment to rock and roll and their refusal to follow trends or conform to the mainstream. They were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
After a final tour in 2013, The Black Crowes officially disbanded in 2015. However, both Chris and Rich Robinson have continued to make music separately and with other bands.
